About Ali Khavari, Md

Dr. Ali Khavari is retired board certified surgeon and urology specialist from Eastern Maine Medical Center (current Northern Light EMMC.) with affiliation to St. Joseph hospital. He had his medical education in Shiraz University and completed his internship and residency training in Baltimore and Johns Hopkins 1970-74, then he attended his urology training and fellowship in Dalhousie University, Halifax Canada 1974-78, and he has been practicing in Maine since 1978-2015. Dr. Khavari has served as president of Bangor Doctors Club 1987-88 and board member, VP, President, and house delegate of Penobscot County Medical Society from 1988-98. He has been the president of Maine Urology Association 1999-2001. Dr. Khavari is an external faculty in Engineering Department and involved with biomechanical research with postgraduate students in UMO for past few years.
