I may be quick with a joke or to light up your smoke, but let me tell you one place I'd rather be. That's absolutely right, working my dream career. Between teaching, sales/marketing and researching in the last five years, my portfolio is as diverse as it is confusing. These jobs lightly attributed to, in no particular order; daily caffeine intake, a magnitude of phone calls to and from underwriting, and my tolerance to the constant smell of acetone. But have more seriously refined skills such as; patience, conflict-management, problem solving, public speaking, time-management and grit. From a science and research perspective: You will not find a more meticulous, driven, and passionate lab researcher. My ability to not only put my head down and work repetitive, aseptic, tasks for hours but also my passion for complex problem solving and thinking, makes me a crucial asset to any lab. My skills range from sterilizing, slide preparation, microscopy, DNA extraction and analysis, CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing and are always expanding. What pushes me in the lab more than anything is an insatiable drive to continue to learn and to keep asking questions. From a marketing and sales perspective: Being a Brand Ambassador OSM means there is a fine line between creating a fun, unique experience for our consumers and also developing a safe, responsible way to have that experience. The unwritten responsibilities include; accessing inebriation for sample serving, emceeing activation's, creating displays and uniforms and creating meaningful moments with our audience. No event is too large or small to spread brand awareness and create awesome memories.State Farm has been an incredible stepping-stone for my professional and personal development as well. Initially working part-time, I had zero knowledge about the industry but a passion to learn. Studying at home after work, I ensued many late-nights to teach myself the in's and out's to Property, Casualty, Banking and Flood insurance. Within months of being hired, I was promoted from the break room, where my desk was shoved, to a proper office adorned with my newly earned insurance licenses.My core attributes; continually learning, constantly bettering myself, smiling through adversity, the pride I have for my work and being loyal will drive me through any career and make me a valuable asset to your team. I am excited to show you my unmatched work ethic, drive to succeed and passion for smiling all along the way. I may not be a piano man, but I could not be more eager to share my song with you.
