I have been working in the banking industry since 2002 and have seen growth in the Alternate Delivery Channels (ATMs, POS, Self Service Kiosks, Internet Banking and Phone Banking) in Pakistan. Being part of several project teams has groomed me to plan, negotiate, develop and deliver products for the customers. UNION BANK LIMITED in Pakistan was my first employer in banking sector and taught me enough to become a manager. STANDARD CHARTERED BANK acquired this bank (a $500 million acquisition) because of the best work force available in the market among other reasons. UNITED BANK LIMITED (one of the largest commercial bank in Pakistan) was my second employer having an ATM network of over 300 Dispensers (NCR, Diebold and Wincor). Here I served 3years as Unit Head E-Banking Operations and my responsibilities included; 1. Resolution of daily (internal/external) customer/management queries.2. Coordinating UATs (User acceptance tests) with IT, product management, and Audit/Risk management teams before launching/adding any new service or product.3. MIS generation and presentation.4. Assurance of ATM uptime to be 90%5. Liaison with Vendors for ATM maintenance and repairs6. Liaison with branches for reconciliation of funds and customer issues7. Deployment of new ATMs and training of branch staff Currently I am working for Kuwait Finance House, which is the largest Islamic bank in Kuwait (www.kfh.com). Here I am supervising a Business Unit having 150 Offsite ATMs, an e-Branch and 6 Mobile ATMs, where from planning and budgeting to implementation and handling of day to day operations is my responsibility. My achievement in this bank since joining in August 2007 is turning this unit profitable from a loss of $70K/month to an average monthly profit of $40K, since last 3 years. Since I have an adequate experience in implementation and operations of ATMs, my seniors keep me involve seeking opinions in procurement of new machines, systems or adding new service.
