I am a geospatial scientist, geographer, and forester with more than 15 years of experience working with GIS and remotely sensed data (active & passive) in different fields including forest mensuration (forest carbon assessment), vegetation health assessment, forest change detection, tree classification, and urban forestry. In addition, I have several years of experience working with historical climate data to study the dynamics of atmospheric inversion events in a forested mountain landscape.My fields of competence are: GIS programming in Python, SQL, AWS Cloud Architecture, forest inventory (carbon stock assessment), geospatial modeling, geostatistics, aerial LiDAR, coastal mapping, water surface modeling using topobathymetric LiDAR, photogrammetry, image interpretation and classification, remote sensing of vegetation (multispectral, hyperspectral, thermal), geospatial data visualization, climate modeling, biosystem modeling, forest meteorology, mountain meteorology, vegetation-atmosphere interaction, using machine learning methods in image classification, and project management.I am also proficient in using different software packages/systems including Google Colab, Replit, Excel, CAD, Microstation, ArcMap, AcrGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Photoshop, Global Mapper, ENVI, and LiDAR Survey Studio (LSS).
