I have 13 years of experience in early education, across two continents and am currently a 'Head of Early Years' at a British private school in Chicago, USA. I currently lead a department of 9 classes, 20 staff and 165 children. I have extensive experience in hosting parent forums, action research, leading whole school and departmental change (in line with the British Curriculum) and writing educational blogs. I am UK qualified SENCo and taught in UK before relocating to Chicago. The thing I love the most about my work is forming strong and meaningful connections with the children in my care. I enjoy curating bespoke learning opportunities that cater to their individualized learning styles and igniting their curiosity. I have a passion for pastoral care and embed personal and emotional development routines into my practice. I have a wealth of experience in supporting children with co and self-regulation and fostering progress in emotional development.As a UK qualified SENCo, I have a passion for pastoral care and inclusion. I played a core role in shaping the current Values curriculum of my current school and am an advocate for fostering emotional and social development in students.
