Along with two History colleagues, created a topic, devised a schedule and curriculum, chose a booklist, advertised both within and beyond Nueva, created applications and an admissions procedure, and crafted a two-week, intensive course on an interdisciplinary exploration of the World Wars.

Compiled bibliographical essays of secondary and primary source material on the geographic, chronological, and demographic scope of the American Revolution for use by Professor Mark Peterson in his new book on the Revolution. Led a team of undergraduate researchers in writing and organizing notes on the above materials in the computer program "Scrivener."

Transcribed and annotated 17th century merchant John Hull’s diary, letters, and "Narrative of the Separation of the Old South from the First Church" for eventual publication by the American Antiquarian Society, and for use in Stanford and Berkeley’s “Republic of Letters” Project. This project uses Stanford Humanities Center’s academic technology to digitize and map library inventories as well as thousands of letters exchanged in the 17th and 18th century's "Republic of Letters." Cataloged the Mather Family and John Adams Libraries for Stanford and Berkeley’s Republic of Letters Project. Used Stanford’s digital technology to create graphs and maps of the Mather and Adams libraries in order to chart the extent to which these Americans participated in the Enlightenment’s “Republic of Letters.”

Assisted Menlo High-School’s History Department in its departmental review by attending classes, meeting with instructors and students, and reviewing course offerings, syllabuses and student writings. Wrote a report for the Upper School Director suggesting ways to gear the department’s program toward university standards of research and writing.

Tutored San Francisco public high-school students in English literature, poetry, reading comprehension and writing skills for four to six hours a week. Provided A.P and S.A.T preparation.

Wrote a 150-page U.S History Review covering the pre-Columbian period to the present. Developed a “shmoopy” style for the teaching website’s goal of providing interesting, funny, accessible yet informative instruction to high-school students in a variety of disciplines. Wrote one A.P U.S History Study Guide, four A.P U.S History exams, one A.P European History exam, and two A.P English Literature and Composition exams, with multiple choice explanations, essay writing Guides, and sample essays.

Developed and taught two History courses, “History of American Gangsters(1830-2000)” and “Living the War: The People’s Experience of World War II,” as well as several of the school's standard classes: "Vietnam and the Cold War," "Modern Art History," "Introduction to Drawing, Painting, and Printing," "Advanced Painting," and "Introduction to Drama." Taught S.A.T and A.P prep courses for students who wished to apply to American schools.Directed a Black Box Theater play, "Chatroom," providing freshmen and sophomores their first opportunity to participate in a school production.
