Lighthouse Consulting Group is an association management company and consulting firm. As part of the Lighthouse Team, I split my effort between association leadership (Executive Director - Association of Northeast Extension Directors) and consulting or facilitation projects.

Knauss Fellow with a dual placement within the Department of Transportation, sharing responsibilities between the U.S. Committee on the Marine Transportation System and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Responsibilities include: Providing professional staff support to the Executive Secretariat of the CMTS, the Cabinet level, inter-departmental US Federal committee created to improve the U.S marine transportation system, and leading working groups of +25 federal agencies. Expertise areas: Maritime energy and air emissions, U.S. arctic transportation, interagency data integration, and climate resilience.

Knauss Fellow with a dual placement within the Department of Transportation, sharing responsibilities between the U.S. Committee on the Marine Transportation System and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics.Responsibilities include: Supporting the creation and use of a nationally consistent set of metrics and measures that empowers the U.S. Department of Transportation to analyze the rate, value, and barriers to waterborne trade through the largest U.S. ports. Produced materials used to educate members of congress on the logistics and economic impact of ports and multi-modal trade. Products included 2017 Port Performance Freight Statistics Annual Report to Congress, the Port Performance Freight Statistics Program Handbook of Methods, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics Glossary of Maritime Terms.

Provided research and database management support to “The Rise, Spread, and Consequences of the Common Core State Standards Initiative in the U.S. Educational Sector”, a large-scale project investigating the relationship between education advocacy organizations, the Common Core State Standards Initiative, and educational inequality. (PI: Dr. Susan Moffitt)

Evaluated the success and socio-cultural impacts of of federal fishery buyback programs, National Marine Fisheries Service budgets and earmarks, and other of federal policies associated with fisheries, protected species, and marine habitats. (PI: Dr. Ross Cheit)

Responsibilities included: Designing and delivering weekly lectures/lessons to 30 students on the foundational methods and data science of social research in furtherance of the syllabus and curriculum goals and providing mentorship and oversight to student teams as they developed community based social science research projects throughout Providence, RI.

Worked in teams of 2-10 to construct and install complex theater sets from detailed plans

Created theatrical sets and props based off the scenic designer’s plan and vision.
