Research activities:Project 1: Conceptual CAD design of micro pin fin heat sinks with various inline and staggered pin fin configurations; CFD-modelling (using ANSYS Fluent), simulation, and analysis of the internal flow field of the designed micro pin fin heat sinks, with regards to both hydrodynamic and thermal properties (results reported in several peer-reviewed journal and conference publications).Project 2: Developing the experimental set-up to visualize the cavitaion patterns in micro- and nano-tube jets using high-speed imaging cameras; performing experiments, and analysis of dataset (results also reported in peer-reviewed journals).

Research tasks: Conceptual aerodynamic design and CAD modelling (using ANSYS) of an axial flow fan with two contra-rotating rotors for industrial purposes; CFD simulation (ANSYS CFX), post processing, and analysis of the flow field inside the developed model under various operating conditions; Obtained the characteristics maps of the axial flow fan, optimized the design criteria, and developed the final CAD model for construction of the system (results are presented in several peer-reviewed international conferences)
