• Participate in monthly accounting cycle: includes financial analysis of data, preparation of journal entries based on this analysis and activity that occurred.• Support, coordinate and complete month-end, quarter-end and year-end system problem analysis and data processing issues that result from the closing process.• Maintain, control and report various system sub ledgers. Provide customer assistance to various users throughout the company including AP, Logistic, Cap Asset Accounting, Cash Process and External Auditors.• Provide assistance to operating personnel in interpreting account codes, projects, work orders, system functionality and sarbanes-oxley act documentation.• Prepare audit support documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance to corporate directives.• Participate in system upgrades, implementations and rate case support.• Worked on GAAP & FERC accounting principles.

• Responsible for Cost Accounting, General Ledger, Budget/Forecasting, Variance Analysis, Record Keeping of fixed assets, Amortization, and System upgrades and implementation. • Collect and analyze financial data in order to perform budget development, reconciliation and variance reporting for assigned areas.• Analyze financial data and prepare complex accounting ledger entries, prepare internal and external reports, settle inter-company receivables and payables, prepare property valuations. Identify and resolve data issues. • Participate and support accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting close cycles.• Train other employees.
