What does a teacher do when they feel called to go beyond their classroom? I had that same question too. The truth is that there are so many opportunities in the world of work that need the incredible skills that educators have.I went from my classroom to working for an ed-tech company training administrators, ed-tech leaders, and educators throughout my region. From there I became an instructional designer and project manager working with corporate companies, non-profits, and education companies. The L&D projects I led out on were translated into over 36 languages and distributed globally. 🌍 (I definitely didn't feel limited to the walls of a classroom any longer.) Those experiences naturally led me to start Idealized Learning, an agency that creates learning resources and materials for a variety of corporate, education, and non-profit companies. Who are some of the most skilled individuals at creating transformative and engaging learning resources? Teachers. Coming full circle, I then created Teacher Transition.As the founder and director of Teacher Transition, I lead our team as we help teachers identify the roles they would thrive in next, develop the skills needed to hit the ground running, and land the work opportunities they want. Our courses, coaching, cohorts, and connections are all aimed toward our mission of empowering educators with more opportunities. As the founder and director of Idealized Learning, I specialize in helping companies and educational organizations improve their learning strategy and resources. I orchestrate teams to design and create effective learning resources for e-learning, blended learning, and instructor-led trainings. I also help educational organizations get access to the best learning resources and training for their staff members, faculty, students, etc. As a consultant, I advise leaders on innovative tools and effective strategies to ensure their organizations meet their goals. I also ensure effective implementation of the Ed-tech resource by facilitating live training and implementation resources for clients to use. Meaningful content creation, interpersonal skills, innovative strategies, team/project leadership, and clear design are some of my top strengths and interests that play out well in this role.
