The Board of Trustees is one of the fundamental components of the governance system of Middle East College. The Board being a representative body of the stakeholders ensures that the interests of the institution, the student community, and the society at large is protected.

More than 20 years of experience in administration, finance, human resources, development, planning, quality management, team work and building relations with other institutions in both the private and public sector. Ithraa was the first governmental body in Oman that ISO certified in quality management. In addition, in charge of implementing the Invest in People standard in Ithraa which is a great accomplishment as Ithraa was one of the first public sector organisations in the Middle East that was certified in this field.

The advisory committee assisted with the development of a program that enhances participants’ leadership skills by helping the participants broaden their perspectives, deepen their technical knowledge, and build their networks within government and externally with the private sector. In addition Public Sector participants will acquire necessary strategic capabilities that will enhance organisational performance and so help the Sultanate to enhance its competitiveness, in line with Oman’s vision for the future.The participants will explore how to facilitate public-private sector engagement and the mechanisms to support private sector growth within a positive business environment. They will identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of public service delivery and examine leadership practices which enable successful policy implementation.The program is delivered in partnership with Oxford University – Saïd Business School, and is first of its kind in the Sultanate. The Advisory Committee helped in designing a program to deliver a community of senior executive leaders in the government that are responsive to the opportunities and challenges faced by Oman.
