•Leading a team of 3 experienced recruitment specialists with 4 functional reports in our offices overseas.•Responsible for the recruitment of management cadre resources for our offices in Pakistan, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi.•Development of annual manpower plans [headcount planning] in order to keep Descon fully staffed and responsive at all times.•Working closely with line managers in order to fully understand their recruitment requirements from a functional, as well as a behavioural perspective. •Creating policies and mechanisms for insourcing as an avenue for recruitment, as well as employee career development. To process internal applications for vacancies within the organisation amicably, to help increase employee satisfaction and retention in a manner that does not impair departmental efficiency.•Ensuring departmental efficiency and output does not suffer as a result of the above by providing quick and timely solutions to ensure reliever duties are as short as possible. •To develop new and innovative channels of talent acquisition and to position Descon as the employer of choice amongst relevant resources.•Exploring new and creative avenues for Employer Branding and overseeing their feasibility and execution within the Descon organizational culture. •Supervision and execution of our Graduate Engineer Trainee Programme (GETP) to ensure a steady stream of the best and brightest at Descon.•Ensure Corporate Branding during the recruitment process in all our offices.•Identification and engagement of international head-hunters and manpower supply agencies for the fulfilment of our requirements from Eastern Europe, Africa, the Sub Continent and the Far East.•Subject matter expert for the implementation of the SAP E-recruitment module.•Experienced in preparing departmental budgets and managing costs across different work streams within HR.
