I have more than fifteen (15) year’s practical professional experience on water infrastructures projects in association with multi-national Consultants.I have about Eight (8) years’ leading experience for preparation & submission of Technical Proposals / Business Management for hydropower, dam, water supply and sanitation projects in Asia and Africa regions. I have involved in preparation of methodology and work plan for performing the assignment, preparation of staffing schedule and evaluation of CVs, evaluate staffing requirements andto attend pre bid meetings with the Client’s.I am working as Proposal Manager/Technical Writer, Hydrologist and Hydraulics Engineer with SMEC to perform the various tasks i.e. Proposal preparation & submission, bid management, hydrological studies Flow study, preparation of drawings etc. Good understanding of drawings including dam drawings, spillway, intake, diversiontunnel, tailrace drawings with good AutoCAD skills. I have been involved in the preparation of Pre-Feasibility Study and Detailed Design Study Reports of dams, hydropower projects. Working as Senior Engineer – Hydrology & Hydraulic Structures under the guidance of Chief Engineer and also working under the Project Manager as Planning & Scheduling Engr. I have performed following duties; • Hydraulic calculations of power waterways.• Design of upstream and downstream cofferdams and diversion tunnel.• Design of Intake & Tailrace Structures.• Hydraulic calculations for spillways and low level outlets and preparation of dam drawings.• Preparation of Reservoir-Area-Capacity and Rating curves,and Flow study of the project.• Climatological study of the project.• Flood frequency analysis.• Reservoir flood routing & Reservoir evaporation studies and Dam break modeling.• Life of the reservoir with flushing and without flushing. Trap efficiency.• Sedimentation Studies of the project.Batkundi dam site on Kunhar River is about 4 km upstream of Batakundi town. The powerhouse is to be located on the right bank of Kunhar River near village Batakundi. The whole project layout including headrace tunnel is proposed on the right bank of Kunhar River. 96 m high CFRD dam with live storage of 19.606 MCM, Crest Length - 250m, headrace tunnel is 4150 m on the right bank with 6 m dia. Feasibility Study Of 1100 Mw Kohala Hydropower Project
Worked as Junior Hydraulics Engineer under the guidance of the Project Team Leader and contributed where relevant to the tasks assigned by the Team Leader related to specifically:• Hydraulic calculations of power waterways.• Design of upstream cofferdam, downstream cofferdam and diversion tunnel.• Preparation of BOQ and Cost Estimate.• Hydraulic calculations for spillways and low level outlets and preparation of dam drawings for hydraulic model test. • Preparation of Reservoir-Area-Capacity curve.• Preparation of Tender Documents of civil work of Kohala Hydropower Project.The project area of proposed Kohala Hydropower Project (KHPP) lies along the river Jhelum in Muzaffarabad district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). Dam site is situated 8 km downstream of the Hattian Bala village, whereas it is 31 km upstream from the Domel Bridge. The Kohala hydropower project consists of dam 52m high, water conveyance system and underground powerhouse with 17 km twin headrace tunnels. To spill the flood discharges a spillway having three 15 m wide bays controlled by 18 m high radial gates and two-sluiceways also controlled by 12.5 m high radial gates are provided. The water conveyance system includes intake, underground de-sander tunnels, headrace tunnel, surge chamber, shaft tunnel, and penstock. The basic purpose of the project is power generation having total installed capacity of 1,100 MW with 4 generation units.
Feasibility Study Of 300 Mw Balakot Hydropower Project:
The Balakot HPP is proposed to be located on Kunhar River, which is the right bank tributary of Jhelum River and joins the Jhelum River 12 km downstream of Muzaffarabad city. The dam site on Kunhar River is about 03 km d/s of Paras village, and 17 km u/s of Balakot town main bridge. The powerhouse is to be located on the left bank of Sangarhnullah confluence with Kunhar River, 1 km upstream of Dabrain village and 8 km upstream of Balakot main bridge. 78 m high concrete gravity dam with live storage of 12.606 MCM, Crest Length - 250m, headrace tunnel is 8420 m on the left bank with inner 8 m dia fully lined. Powerhouse underground, Francis units, 4x79 MW, with installed capacity of 300 MW.Working as Senior Engineer – Hydrology & Hydraulic Structures under the guidance of Chief Engineer and also working under the Project Manager as Planning & Scheduling Engr.
