In the advent of the COVID-19 outbreak, I contributed to the community by creating an Introduction to Programming course designed for complete beginners or those whom have had a poor experience in learning programming. As a computer science student, I am well-aware of the various issues surrounding the teaching of computing within academic institutions, I set out to tackle these various problems through this course, which I distributed for free.Although originally set out to host my own course, this project aimed to become a hub for beginners learning to program, hosting everything and more they'll need with more computing courses underway from various students.Social -• As a tutor and course creator, I kept in close touch with students answering all queries related to the course.• Administered social media platforms to communicate with various students.• Lead the marketing of the service, achieving 70+ students within 4 weeks.Technical -• Designed and produced the website and platform.• Basic experience with editing software for my course.• Produced professional lessons with animations for lessons.Teaching -• Experience in teaching students with no knowledge of programming and getting feedback

Member of 2019 Cohort at Kickstart GlobalKickstart London is the largest launchpad in London for students and young people.From more than 1,000 applications for the 2019/20 cohort, 40 were selected to form teams that will develop their ideas through a 10-week programme. Kickstart London is supported by Entrepreneur First, The Family, Founders of the Future and other leading entrepreneurial institutions.

Lead organization of team hierarchy which included team departments, department leads, sales managers; spoke to and sought clientele personally and oversaw the production process of each individual service.• Administered employee and client relations, ensuring these pivotal wings of the business were kept satisfied – all client/employee queries were directed at me to manage.• My involvement in expanding our small group into an advertised service provider was pivotal for our expansion which gave opportunities to provide work to a multitude of gaming mediums.• I would actively secure deals with the clients I would personally reach out to and made an extra effort to ensure their satisfaction with their interaction with our team.

Responsibilities included designing rough designs giving the basic outline of every page requested – the client did not have a clear idea for how they intended their website to look, I, therefore, had to liaise with them in order to finalize designs of their liking; I was responsible for the full programming of the website, and was requested to provide reports at regular intervals; maintenance of the website was also another responsibility I held.The key skills I demonstrated in this project are outlined below.• Using rough sketches on word processors, I used my creativity to create a web design of my own for the website.• Worked on a 40 day deadline and gave update reports at regular intervals.• I had not created anything significant by the time I was challenged with creating this website, and this was my first actual project. I still had lots to learn, but took on this challenge and succeeded.
