This role was designed to create mobile applications for the Center Of Sustainable Journalism (CSJ). Created 3 mobile apps for CSJ. - YouthToday App (iOS) was created to be a supplement for the publication, YOUTH TODAY. - Substance Use App (Android) and Foster Care App (Android) were created to be supplements for their respective online magazine. The primary focus for the apps was to be an added medium of content for each respective publication in order to cater to a growing mobile audience's need.Later, CSJ required a new website for their photography section.- Developed using WordPress Engine, BokehFocus, a photography website for Center of Sustainable Journalism (CSJ). Provided added value by marketing via various social media outlets for BokehFocus. - Worked with the marketing team as team leader curating, marketing and developing for BokehFocus.- Produced videos and photography as a CSJ photographer. Videos reached over 13,000 views.- Marketed BokehFocus on Instagram, creating a following and engagement. Directed traffic to BokehFocus website for full photo essays, interviews and stories. - Planned and executed BokehFocus's annual event during the 2017 & 2018 Atlanta Celebrates Photography. BokehFocus event is hosted to raise funds and showcase local photographer's work in a professional manner. With matching funds provided by The Knight Foundation and The Democracy Fund, BokehFocus event raised over $18,000 in 2017 and over $60,000 in 2018.

This internship was primally designed as a learning engagement by using Xcode, Swift and HTML5 web development. This learning allowed me to design and develop components of the front end experience with the development team.I worked in an agile team spread multinationally, working on both front/back-end actions such as simple layouts, buttons, and programming back-end actions for my UI design. I was primarily able to understand the architecture experience and be part of simultaneous development needs. I interacted with the leadership team including the CEO, to understand our business needs according to what problems our customer faced and I was able to voice opinions in catering to the end user experience.

Provided assistance to Kumon owner, Huma Ishaqui, in planning day to day operations and managing expectations with my fellow workers. Tutored Kumon students in Math and English. My style of teaching was to assess their mistakes, provide feedback, and help them explore new ways of attacking a problem.One of my main goals was to help students explore the idea of self learning by providing encouragement in following their own thought pattern. This way of thinking is critical in ensuring the success of a student after leaving Kumon so that they may not be discouraged in their future endeavors.
