Ali's background includes project management as well as technical support experience for both government and private sector clients. In addition to being in charge of company operations on a daily basis, he manages data research, data collection, and survey studies at EconSys. These projects often entail understanding and responding to sensitive national policy and program issues, execution of complex studies, and producing accurate and effective reports within limited time frames. Ali has over twenty-six years of experience in the fields of program evaluation, survey design and data collection, cost-benefit analysis, econometrics, regression and data analysis, statistics, labor economics, compensation, litigation support, and regional economics. He is currently serving as Contract Liaison in several task orders as part of a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for the Department of Labor, Office of Disability Employment Policy. He has overseen the execution of over twenty task orders for the past five years and has managed or worked at different capacities on several task orders. Services under the BPA include research, program evaluation, training and technical assistance, development of multi-media outreach and educational materials, and other program support as needed.He has also conducted several Congressionally mandated studies for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), evaluating their benefit programs.Among his other projects include: Employee/workforce satisfaction surveys studies for federal government agencies; technical support of the U.S. Department of Education’s Cost Estimation and Analysis Division (CEAD) in predicting participation levels for students eligible for Pell Grants, and then applying these models to assess the budgetary impact of the programs using advanced statistical techniques; providing management and statistical analyses that will be used to revise VA policies concerning the Locality Pay System (LPS) for VA nurses.
