I am a data scientist with a strong background in developing statistical machine learning models. In the past the focus of my research has been on the development of machine learning models for count data analysis and latent topic modeling. I also am an expert in Bayesian data modeling and extraction. My primary field of research is the application of data science to different aspects of biological sciences. That includes but not limited to bioinformatics, biostatistics, metagenomics and computational biology.I recently finished a yearlong postdoctoral assignment at University of Texas, MD anderson cancer center, with special focus on developing predictive models from radiological data for predicting the various key factors in determining the diagnosis as well as the prognosis of brain cancer patients.I am an expert in developing codes in Matlab and R. I also have experience working with Python. I have hands on experience working with statistical packages such as SAS and SPSS.I have a proven record as an outstanding individual as well as a successful team worker. Over the course of my research years,I have authored and coauthored many publications in peer reviewed technological and scientific Journals and conferences.
