• Designed and produced 12 learning modules for over 300,000 global learners focused on organizational management, impact assessment, storytelling, and capacity building techniques.• Collaborated with industry experts and renowned authors to develop a series of online collaborative courses and mini-lessons to train nonprofit leadership teams. • Developed the design for dashboards which allow enterprise users to monitor their employee’s growth in soft and hard skills, an assessment feature to track learners’ skill acquisition, and a badging system to motivate users to engage in community-based activities.

Smart Sparrow is a learning design platform that educators can use create their own rich, interactive and adaptive elearning experiences. The design team at Smart Sparrow brings together graphic designers, software engineers and instructional designers to create online experiences that are rigorous, engaging, and highly personalized. These experiences are aimed to expand students' trajectories by providing them with the most customized learning experience possible.

The Sarah E. Goode STEM Academy is one of five Early College STEM schools in Chicago. Students can graduate from Goode with both a high school diploma and an Associate’s degree. As the Content Lead for Chemistry and Physics, I developed a curriculum that would not only prepare students for the academic rigor of the college courses but also provide them with the key workplace skills. As a teacher I:•Developed the school’s first complete chemistry curriculum utilizing Next Generation Science Standards, the Understanding by Design (UBD) framework, and inquiry-based learning strategies.•Utilized a hands-on, cooperative project-based learning approach to engage over four hundred students over 4 semesters of high school chemistry and physics.•Doubled students' expected growth (+2.5 points) on the ACT/Explore Science section.•Two-time “Innovator Award” recipient in recognition of developing outstanding classroom culture. •Prepared 40 students for dual-enrollment college classes and IBM internships as part of Chicago’s first Early College STEM School initiative. •Participated in over three dozen research-based professional development workshops with an emphasis on STEM learning strategies, diversity, and leadership.

The Center for Tutoring and Academic Excellence (CTAE) is responsible for providing tutoring services for the University's over 15,000 students. Sessions take place at the center and are either on-on-one or facilitated via small groups.Key Accomplishments:•Ranked top tutor over 65 other tutors and maintained a near 95% approval rating by my client base of 60 students each semester. •Spearheaded an initiative as Lead Tutor to quantify the center’s efficacy through data-tracking systems that allowed tutors to monitor their tutee’s growth over the course of the semester. •Established and curated a library at the center, purchasing of over two dozen student-centered books and compiling a collection of student notes. •Worked collaboratively to increase student retention by 63% and, in the next year, double the center’s client volume with the incorporation of tutor coaching, a resource library and data-tracking methods. •Headed the tutoring program for the Department of Modern Languages and Literature as the Lead Arabic Tutor where I tutored over 60 students while mentoring 3 tutors, through weekly observations, modeling, and feedback reports. •Introduced an interactive, cooperative learning model to help tutees gain mastery of core ideas in Arabic.

Awarded highly competitive fellowship and grant to study the rate of bioaccumulation of selenium in the Everglades region. Research was aimed to raise awareness of environmental contaminants and protect the region’s biodiversity.As the Lead Researcher on this project I:•Was awarded the University’s Undergraduate Research Award in May 2013.•Led a team of 4 researchers and took full responsibility of experimental parameters—from drafting a proposal, designing experimental parameters, to monitoring grant funding. •Recruited, trained, and mentored two students to aid in the study. •Gained grant-writing experience through successfully drafting and submitting a proposal to obtain funding for the research study.
