I developed a program using the exact solution method for the scheduling problem of N tasks on a single machine with an unavailability period, aiming to minimize the sum of Ci, where i ∈ E, over time. After reviewing the existing literature on the topic, I attempted to devise a solution based on the branch and bound method.I proposed a lower bound derived from a relaxation of the non-preemption constraint of the tasks, utilizing the SRPT priority rule.
