Graduate Teaching Assist for Animal Care and Welfare course at the University of Guelph

- plan the camp program, book buses, trips, and guest speakers- supervise campers (ages 6-12)- organize and develop the Youth Leader program- lead activities/games- ensure the safety of all participants- teach animal handling and care skills- maintain a budget- communicate with campers, staff, parents, and the public

- Instruct Stranger Smarts course (grades 3-5)- Instruct At Home Alone course (grades 5-6)- Instruct Babysitting course (grades 5+)- Create lesson plans, course materials, and informative activities for a class of up to 24- Instruct First Aid and emergency response skills- Teach babysitting, childcare, and safety skills- Create lesson plans and related activities

- Organize and lead games and activities for children’s parties and promotional events- Sell snacks and refreshments- Supervise children of all ages- Collaborate with other workers

- Organize and lead fun and safe activities- Supervise children ages 4-12- Work as a team with other day camp counsellors- Administer First Aid when needed- Quickly solve problems - Communicate with parents

- Develop activities for schools, special interest groups, and the general public - Develop a database of student volunteers- Motivate staff and program participants- Plan, organize, and supervise summer day camp programs (children ages 5-12)- Create and maintain a budget- Organize work records and incident reports- Lead museum tours and educational presentations- Ensure a safe, inclusive and fun environment
