At CDM I am a visiting student from SFU on a practicum semester. I am working with a team of 5 master's students (consisting of designers, developers, and project managers) on an AR game. Our customer is Hololabs and we are working on an independent game within their IP. Here are some of the things I have worked on:- Developed a solution for object placement in AR using the Unity engine which will require the user to move around and have an immersive experience.- Researched and utilized Niantic's LightShip SDK using Unity to increase reliability and object detection, and bring a more intuitive depth perception to the application. - Collaborated with the team and the client in an Agile environment creating rapid prototypes and presenting them to the client on a fast-paced weekly sprint.- Engaged in productive and meaningful game development and UX design sessions with the team using brainstorming techniques and collaboration software such as Miro, and Notion.- Conducted and analyzed A/B user tests with a range of users from experienced with AR to first-time AR users to determine the direction of development in object placement in AR.
