Currently, I am a Training Advisor delivering ILM level 3 in Leadership and Management also have experience in delivering APM, Project management level 4. Currently managing a caseload of work-based learners ranging from Manufacturing to MOD sectors.Responsibilities range from induction, 1-2-1 sessions to support NVQ units. Classroom/remote workshops to support and deliver the mandatory components; Principles of People Management, Principles of Leadership and Management, and Principles of Business. The role includes formative and summative assessment against ILM and CMI criteria during an eighteen-month learning journey.I have been involved with reviewing the resources and produced new materials to support learners in the workshops. This has been beneficial to the business and to the learner which has resulted in positive results. Due to Covid and restrictions to workshops, Part of the role is delivering workshops which I feel is where my strengths exist. Engaging personality and an excellent level of emotional intelligence this has been imperative in supporting me and the learner. This has enabled me to gauge individuals and apply the best assessment method that suits them.Since successfully completing a PGCE in July 2018, I took on temporary positions of Teaching Assistant at Headlands and Woodlands High School which have both been long-term contracts.Both positions have been challenging and rewarding due to the complex needs of the pupils. Headlands is an independent special school that offers day and residential placements for boys and girls aged 7 to 19 who have difficulty learning as a result of challenging behaviours such as emotional, behavioural and social difficulties (EBD), Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Aspergers Syndrome. Woodlands SEN high school predominantly Special Needs where I was a one to one with an eleven year boy who had Pervasive Development Disorder.I have gained much experience and knowledge across Key stages 2 through to Post 16 predominantly working with the students and supporting them with key subjects Mathematics, English and Sciences, also imperative to their development is building relationships and forging trust with them. Also, introducing structure into their dailyThe positions has invoked many challenges however difficult each day can be the results have been extremely rewarding. To witness young people who have been subjected to harmful environments due to circumstances they have not been in control of, develop emotionally academically is truly rewarding.
