In this role, I taught Pilates Mat & Integrated Movement Therapy classes in the studio, as well as ran the social media accounts and manage administrative duties. Duties include: daily emails, customer service, Pilates package purchases, managing the class wait list, creating and implementing studio challenges/special events, creating and posting visual content, creating newsletters, etc.

In this 6-month internship I worked closely with the management and marketing team to develop visual and written content for this Non-Profit Organization. I was responsible for a variety of duties which include: photographing outreach projects, creating marketing materials (brochures, postcards, newsletters), managing social media forums, grant-proposal and award application writing, organizing events/fundraisers, and general customer service for all volunteers, donors, and partner companies. I learned a lot during this intense internship; it greatly improved my photographic and writing skills, but also better equipped me to thrive in a fast-paced work environment to create meaningful content.

Working with the University of British Columbia Okanagan's newspaper-The Phoenix- allowed me to better understand the logistics of orchestrating photo shoots and improved my knowledge of post-production/"behind the scenes" work. I was required to document many events both on and off campus, as well as create interesting & thought-provoking content (both written and photographic) for each bi-weekly issue depending on the theme.
