I study and consult on sanctions, export controls and geoeconomics. My research focuses on political risk and how global affairs impact firms. I have spent many years working on economic statecraft and sanctions which has provided me with deep expertise in global financial institutions, complex technological supply chains and how firms in these arenas interact with government policy in an increasingly securitized global economy. I write about these issues in various publications including the National Interest, Al-Jazeera and World Politics Review. I have been quoted in publications around the world on these issues and appeared as an expert on outlets such as Newsweek, CNBC and NPR.
