About Ali Ahmad

As an assistant professor at Oakland University, I explore the potential of digital twins and collaborative robots (cobots) to improve the efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability of manufacturing systems. I have over seven years of experience in designing and implementing cobots-based automation systems, manufacturing digital twins, simulations, and human-machine interfaces.My mission is to develop innovative solutions that enhance the productivity, quality, and safety of human-robot production cells, using cutting-edge technologies and data-driven approaches. I have published multiple papers in prestigious journals and conferences, and I have received funding from leading industrial partners, such as FESTO and government e.g. NIST and DoE. I also serve as an advisory board member for a digital twin platform for robotics, where I share my insights and expertise with the global community of researchers and practitioners.
