Worked alongside Dr. Ashok Agrawala and a team of Ph.D. students to develop an android application that pinpointed the location of an individual down to the floor and room of a building. • The application made use of Google’s Location System Services API and access points across campus to help deliver the location of the user. These access points were detected from images using MATLAB and were then plotted on ARCGIS along with the coordinates of each room in the building. Once the app was run, it pinged the access point that was closest to it which helped discern the floor of the building. Then using Google's location services the room was determined in two ways 1. locating current coordinates on ARCGIS, 2. figuring out coordinates of current room relative to the coordinates of the access point.
