This position is responsible for the oversight of all surgical and peri-op services, including 2 Surgical departments (24 ORs), a Heart Team, 2 Same Day Surgery departments, 2 PACU departments, Endoscopy, 2 Central Supply/Sterile Processing departments and 2 Anesthesia departments. This position coordinates all activities between the surgeons, anesthesiologist, CRNA's, system staff and system leadership. Directs department managers of surgery, Same Day Surgery, and Central Supply/Processing, with approximately 185 employees in total. The position reports to both the system's Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer. -Responsible for the oversight of both the HealthPlex and Porter Campuses, with a total of 24 operating room suites. Directs five department managers with multiple disciplines in each.-This position coordinates activities between the system healers and system leadership with Hospitalists, Specialists and other providers.-Responsible for ensuring a high standard of care.-Demonstrates a commitment to excellence.-Develops positive professional relationships with providers and intra-departmental peers.-Responsible for planning, implementing, directing, monitoring and promoting service initiatives.-Responsible for leading strategic and business planning initiatives, formulating budgets, developing and implementing promotional efforts.
