Alice Bacon is cellist, graphic designer, and web designer based in Brooklyn, New York. Past projects include work for The Chelsea Symphony, The Dream Unfinished, Burning City Orchestra, The Actors Studio, and One Light Left productions. Through design, she aims to enable musicians and creative artists to better communicate visually with the public, and on the best days, works on projects that seek to better lives.As a cellist Alice works across a spectrum of styles. She has performed as a classical artist on four continents and through the US, at venues including Carnegie Hall, Zellerbach Hall, The Paramount Theatre in Oakland, CA. She currently plays with NYC ensembles The Chelsea Symphony and the Highline Chamber Ensemble. She has recorded and performed with rock, folk, pop, jazz, and soul musicians including Paul Simon and The Eagles at venues including The Beacon Theatre, Town Hall, the Blue Note, Le Poisson Rouge, The Box, and Gramercy Theatre; premiered and recorded new compositions by jazz composers, accompanied dancers and aerial artists with free improvisation. This fall Alice was featured in the orchestra of the Amazon Prime series Mozart in the Jungle.Alice earned her M.M. and B.M. with a double major in Cello Performance and Romance Languages, from NYUSteinhardt, where she studied with Professor Marion Feldman and served as an adjunct cello professor.
