My placement at Hammersmith Hospital was based in Women's Health, which covered both outpatients and inpatients. During my time in outpatients, I mainly treated patients with Pelvic Girdle Pain and undertook regular In-service training to further my knowledge of this area. Whilst in in-patients, I saw women post C-Section delivery as well as undertaking ante-natal classes for women which developed my presentation skills and confidence when presenting information.

My six week placement at Charing Cross was based on an Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward, during which I primarily treated people post Total Hip or Knee replacement but also got exposure to trauma patients.

During my third placement, I worked in both an Musculoskeletal outpatient department as well as in Hand therapy. Throughout this placement, I saw a patients with a variety of conditions including patients post knee/hip replacements, chronic and acute lower back pain etc which improved my practical application of specific assessment and treatment techniques.

Throughout this placement, I worked with Physiotherapists across three Intensive Care Units (Neonatal, Paediatrics and Cardiac). I developed practical skills including suctioning, manual techniques and manual hyperinflation on critically ill patients in an emotionally challenging environment.

During my 6 week placement, I worked within the Integrated Independence Team specifically working with therapists providing community rehab to patients with post Stroke. I developed skills in lone-working as a student as well as time management whilst working autonomously in the community
