In my internship at Mekong Migration Network (MMN) in Chiang Mai, I am primarily focused on conducting research, monitoring news, editing publications, and organizing advocacy events. I work on projects related to mixed migration and migrants in agriculture, collaborating with Chiang Mai University to organize an exhibition aimed at raising awareness among university students. The exhibition will feature materials from publications like Neighbours in Need and Migrant Agricultural Workers in Thailand, along with migrant testimonies presented through conferences, photo exhibits, and infographics. I am also involved in creating timelines on Myanmar’s taxation, remittance, and conscription to be used on MMN’s website for advocacy and awareness purposes. My role combines research, content creation, and event coordination to highlight the challenges faced by migrant communities in Southeast Asia.

As a waiter in catering, I play a crucial role in creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. I start by setting up tables with precision, ensuring an inviting ambiance. Once service begins, I take orders attentively and provide excellent customer care, answering questions and offering recommendations. I also assist in plate preparation, ensuring each dish is presented beautifully. Throughout the event, I continuously monitor the dining area, promptly clearing and cleaning tables as guests finish their meals. My goal is to ensure that every guest feels welcomed, satisfied, and comfortable throughout the event.

As a hostess at trade fairs, my main tasks involve creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all attendees and exhibitors. I take pride in greeting visitors with a friendly smile and offering them information about the event. Assisting exhibitors in organizing their booths and addressing their needs during the fair is also a crucial part of my role. Managing registration and access control ensures a smooth flow of participants. I work closely with other event staff to ensure seamless coordination. Providing hospitality services, like offering refreshments and guiding attendees to rest areas, is something I enjoy doing to enhance their experience. Additionally, I actively engage in networking, fostering positive relationships and contributing to lead generation. Lastly, I take feedback from participants to continually improve the trade fair's overall success. Being a hostess allows me to be the face of the event and create a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.

Segunda Chance is a Brazilian local NGO that focuses on providing material assistance, such as food, water, clothes, and other essential items, to people living in favelas.The NGO aims to address the basic needs of vulnerable communities in the favelas, which are informal settlements characterized by poverty, lack of access to basic services, and social inequality. The work of Segunda Chance involves collecting and distributing donations of food, water, clothing, and other necessary supplies to those in need in the favelas. Through their efforts, Segunda Chance aims to provide support and relief to marginalized communities, improve their living conditions, and contribute to poverty alleviation in the region.As a volunteer with Segunda Chance, my tasks may vary depending on the specific needs of the organization and the projects being undertaken at the time. However, some common tasks I am involved in include:Donation collection and distribution;Assistance in organizing and managing logistics: I help with the organization and management of logistics, such as sorting, packing, and storing donated items, as well as assisting with transportation and distribution to various locations in the favelas.Hands-on assistance in community programs;Other than these every-day tasks, after a month of voluntary work, I noticed some aspects of the Organization that could have been improven: I talked to the administration team of Segunda Chance and we agreed on the need to develop new techniques to reach out to the world and gain visibility that could allow the NGO to have a stronger, more consistent, and deeper impact on the community.For this reason I am now involved with the task of supporting in outreach and engagement efforts.This can translate into door-to-door outreach, creation of community events and workshops and distributing informational materials; as well as into the creation of a website. I indeed created a website for Segunda Chance.

Through the Au Pair program I have lived with a Belgian family, taking care of three kids and providing other light housekeeping activities such as cleaning, gardening and shopping. This experience helped me learn French and get to know another place and culture.

I worked with CoopCulture as a receptionist at the National Archeological Museum of Venice, in Saint Mark square.The main tasks are greeting visitors, giving directions and explaining exhibits to visitors; taking admission money and issuing tickets; selling catalogues, books, postcards and other souvenirs in the museum shop; patrolling the museum or visitor centre, guarding items on display and checking visitors' bags for security purposes.

Energie Sociali is a non-profit organisation that operates in theprovince of Verona to promote the integral quality of people's lives, with greater attention to the most vulnerable and marginalised people. The cooperative aims to promote the quality of life and to contribute to the development of local communities that are attentive to people,inspired by the principles of solidarity, democracy, participation,community spirit, rights, links with the territory and a relationship of subsidiarity with the institutions and public administrations.During my 150-hour curricular apprenticeship, I worked in the field of "abitare", where, through the AISA desk of the Municipality of Verona, I assisted people in their search for a house at reduced prices due to precarious housing conditions or innocent arrears. I also took part in the project "Animare" to turn the neighbourhood concerned into a more liveable place for its citizens, following calls for tenders to finance projects with the aim of create services to meet local needs.

I worked as an usher for the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, performing various tasks such as ticket control and green passes, cloakroom, and reception of the public.

I work seasonally as an ice-cream counter at the Ponte Pietra ice-cream shop in Verona: I serve customers at the counter and, if necessary, I help in the laboratory to make the ice-cream, making sure that the hygiene rules are followed, and therefore the cleanliness of the premises, and providing for the storage of raw materials and the management of stocks.
