I started working at TransNation Translations in September of 2019 as a Translation Project Manager. I was promoted to Senior Project Manager in July of 2022 and I remain in this role. Current responsibilities include:• Manage multiple complex and simple translation projects in 45+ languages simultaneously• Lead project manager for large medical device client with strict regulatory requirements• Responsible for full life cycle of projects, including, quoting, budgeting, timelines, in-country review, quality assurance, and preparing final deliverables• Perform comprehensive QA in line with specific client requirements• Experience working on software localization projects and AI-driven projects• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders on a daily basis• Maintain highly organized projects to ensure traceability• Involved in the selection, training, and supervision of other project managers and quality assurance personnel• Manage an annual volume of approximately $600,000Before I worked at TransNation Translations, I had my own small language service provider, AmeriTranslations, from 2007 to 2021. I downsized this business in 2019 when I began working with TransNation Translations, and officially closed AmeriTranslations at the end of 2021. I started out as a Spanish to English freelance translator, then started hiring in-house translators to work with me as the business grew. Some achievements include the following:• Performed all project management, accounting, customer service and HR duties• Performed extensive QA on all projects to ensure client satisfaction• Interviewed and hired 31 in-house translators throughout the life of the business• Kept up with demanding deadlines and large volumes • Interfaced with clients around the world to obtain and manage translation projects• Provided training, support, and feedback for translators• Managed an annual volume of approximately $130,000• Over 160,000 pages translated• Most projects completed were highly technical, and largely focused on wind energy technology
