Alice Borene is a Senior Consultant at LexPat Global Services. Previously, she served as an executive at the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) with a focus on interagency collaboration and support to NSC and White House stakeholders. She has expertise on the US-EU Transatlantic relationship, NATO, individual EU members, Five Eyes, and the Balkans. 15+ years of experience in US National Security in diverse areas including intelligence diplomacy, mission management, counterterrorism, foreign partner cooperation, and civil liberties safeguards. She is a policy and analysis leader focused on interagency cooperation, intelligence diplomacy, effective national and international intelligence integration, responsive oversight, process refinement, and senior-level messaging. She has refined communications skills explaining complex national security, legal, and technical concepts to senior policymakers, foreign partners and the interagency. She worked in the Office of the Prosecutor, War Crimes Division, State Court in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and served as a Serbian-Croatian linguist in the US Army. She is editor of "The International Human Rights Law Sourcebook" and "The International Humanitarian Law (Law of Armed Conflict) Sourcebook", published by the American Bar Association. Ms. Borene holds a BA in history from the University of Minnesota, an MA in modern European history from the University of Washington, and a JD from the University of Virginia.
