I am an Architecture Graduate from the University of Sheffield with one year of experience in a small practice in Sheffield, specialising in the healthcare sector. I am now working at a creative practice in Leeds on a wide range of projects. I have always been passionate about Architecture and my degree allowed me to explore many styles and in my final year I focussed mainly on the challenges of designing public buildings. However, I am particularly interested in residential architecture. In my dissertation I looked at the effects of the housing crisis and focussed on how effectively utilising the vast number of empty homes in the UK could help to solve this. Studying at Sheffield has taught me the importance of contextually aware, sustainable architecture and I believe the skills learnt have transferred well into the workplace.
