I’m a major fresh-air advocate. It's particularly time in the sea that keeps me sane. And I want others to benefit from the power of the outdoors too. So I’m always exploring the friction points + psychological barriers that hold people back from trying something new. Having been in the outdoor + adventure sports industry for over 16 years, I learnt to help our clients get out their comfort zone, whether it be in the sea or the snow. I'd have to convince an 80 year old to try something a little dangerous. Persuade a teenager to leave behind their self-conscious self and be ok with making mistakes. Engage with corporate groups and primary school kids. Make them feel supported. Build excitement and determination. You’ve been in exactly the same position as me — you’re faced with the challenge of communicating with your customers to show them a better version of themselves, address their hesitations and quell their fears.Without overcoming client's barriers and fears, you’re going to struggle turning any warm leads into paying customers.(And an unconvinced prospect is going elsewhere with their credit card.)By REMOVING your future customers' perceived obstacles + hesitations, you can:⚡ Get more clicks⚡ Build trust quicker⚡ Get more humans flowing through your customer journey⚡ Make your experience/service/subscription/that thing you sell an undeniably easy choice for themYour outdoors/wellbeing/sports brand [delete as you wish] will thrive without those roadblocks along the way. Using customer-centric, emotionally-intelligent copy.So your brand gets a ton more clicks + conversions. If you're ready to [1] reveal the untapped potential sitting in your email list, [2] encourage more people to get outside/in the sea/try something new + [3] make more money, hop on over here to tell me about your next email project we should join forces on >>🔗 alicewritescopy.com/chat

Marketing Manager + Customer ExperienceJapan Powder Connection Sep 2016 - Mar 2020Hokkaido, JapanIn such a saturated ski resort, JPC needed to stand out from their competitors. Over the three seasons I worked with Jen and her team, a large focus was on redesigning the client experience — from first impressions on social media through the entire booking process, right through to interacting with these clients after they left Japan and had flown home — so as to improve client retention and word-of-mouth referrals. This looked like:- Redefining their target market in order to decide how best to appeal to a more affluent clientele (so they could bring in more revenue from a smaller number of people)- Reframing the message they were sharing across all their marketing collateral in order to stand out from all the other ski schools and backcountry guiding companies in the area, even in the whole of Japan- Developing and implementing an SEO strategy to reach more people across the globe, therefore increasing website traffic and the quantity of warm leads we were attracting week after week- Rewriting their key web pages to give more insight into an experience with JPC, to address any hesitations from their target market and make the booking process effortless for them- Creating a set of stock emails to respond to client enquiries, to (1) show we were approachable and amenable to their requests, (2) responsive and attentive, and (3) save us time in the office, responding to common questions- Building and implementing a system for follow-ups from past clients, asking for feedback and testimonials, so as to develop our service and products
