I’m a proven senior operational business and project delivery specialist, with 25 years of post-graduate experience working across a wide variety of roles in both operations and projects / programmes, across management, design and construction roles. This includes 5½ years of experience as a General Manager running a NZ Engineering Consultancy business and 23 years of infrastructure industry experience.I have a proven successful track record in leading complex multi-discipline businesses and teams that have provided innovative solutions that exceed business and client expectations, whilst maintaining excellent safety metrics. Key areas of technical specialism are constructability for large civil infrastructure engineering projects, risk management, contract management, procurement and commercial strategies, and operational / programme / project finances. Expertise contains a strong emphasis on DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion), HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment and Quality), and Safety in Design.A key focus of mine is to ensure a high-performance outcomes-based inclusive team culture is established through strong relationships and trust. I guide teams to honestly evaluate performance and incorporate the learnings from these evaluations. I’m passionate about working collaboratively in integrated, best for project businesses/teams, which deliver for clients and communities. I’m driven by social imperative to make Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia both better places for this generation and the generations to come.Delivery models I’ve worked on include design, build, finance and operate, design and construct, early contractor involvement, alliances, joint ventures, PPP’s, programmes and traditional linear procurement – in New Zealand, Australia, PNG, the Pacific and the UK. I moved from the UK to Australia in 2007 and then onto NZ in 2008.
