I initially undertook a placement with the BBC as a music librarian in preparation for the Cardiff Singer of the World competition. After two weeks of work at the Roath Lock studio in Cardiff Bay I was asked to join the team as a runner in June for the competition itself. I was on hand to assist with any library related roles such as providing the music scores for the judges, but also more general runner responsibilities ensuring singers were in the right places and had everything they needed.
