I have experience in report writing, meetings of experts and case conferences. Since qualifying as an Occupational Therapist in 1982 I have gained specialist skills in complex care planning for adults with physical and neurological conditions, including stroke, head injury, multiple sclerosis, spinal injury, fractures and amputees.In addition to my extensive experience with long-term neurological conditions, I have a special interest in working with adults with terminal illness and set up a community occupational therapy service for adults with end of life conditions.My current H.S.E post involves occupational therapy assessment and care planning with children and adults with a wide range of medical conditions and physical disabilities, including spinal and respiratory conditions, cancer and palliative care. This includes assessment for specialist equipment and recommendations for home adaptations.I carry out Home Visits and Functional Assessments.I assess for the provision of Daily Living Aids and Assistive Technology.I provide Medico Legal Reports.
