Alice Laugher Email and Phone Number
Since 2006, I have grown Committed to Good [CTG] from humble beginnings in Afghanistan, to a company that has over 10,000 staff currently deployed across 25 conflict-affected countries enabling humanitarian projects. From a 500 person rapid response team running Ebola treatment clinics in Liberia to managing food aid distribution in South Sudan, and monitoring the movements of migrants in Libya to contributing to the structure of the new constitution of Somalia - humanitarian projects under CTG’s management become a reality even in the remotest and challenging locations in the world. We provide staff, systems and in-country management enabling rehabilitation, reconstruction and redevelopment. We employ national staff, work in local communities and recruit international experts, with responsibility for duty of care mitigation to protect our teams. Our particular skills are our grass-roots networks and an ability to mobilise large projects at speed. As well as providing leadership to CTG’s business operations I am a vocal advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).In 2019, I was honoured to receive the Oslo Business for Peace Award in recognition of our “businessworthy” contribution to the building of trust, stability and peace. In 2018, I was acknowledged as a SDG Pioneer by the United Nations at the Global Compact Leader’s Summit, in New York, honouring our unswerving commitment to women’s empowerment in conflict settings.Leading by example we ensure women play a broader role in humanitarian projects in high-risk environments and galvanise the private sector for collective action around the SDGs, and in particular Women’s Empowerment. CTG's #FemaleFirst initiative set a target to have 30% of all its project related roles represented by women by 2030, and achieved this goal 7 years ahead of schedule. The initiative goes beyond sourcing more female candidates. It works with CTG’s clients to create work environments that are safe and free from harassment, partners with local organisations to provide skills training to young women and provides tangible field experience and mentorship for young women interested in the aid and humanitarian sector. We also engage partnership opportunities for our annual Committed to Good Summit (the last two were in Gaza, 2018 and Mogadishu, 2019) and CTG Giving. Please reach out to learn more.

Chief Executive OfficerCtg Feb 2007 - PresentDubai, United Arab EmiratesFrom the day I stepped into Iraq, in 2003, I felt a certainty that I was meant to work assisting communities of fragile countries. Following taking over CTG in 2007, I quickly expanded the existing operations from focusing solely on Afghanistan to include international humanitarian and development aid organisations worldwide. Today CTG is operational in 25 countries. My memorable experiences as CEO of CTG have been many: The impact our teams made in Liberia during the Ebola crisis where we ran three Ebola units. The positivity of the people I met when visiting Gaza; and being part of projects which help to advance sustainability in local communities such as food distribution in Sudan and monitoring in Somalia. In addition to the work we do in high risk countries, I am proud of the work I do as a steering committee member for the UN Global Compact UAE network. My vision is for CTG to be a world leader in the provision of humanitarian and development project support in challenging environments globally. In addition to this I have created a number of targets in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, including increasing our outreach to recruit more women in CTG consultancy roles – something we will be extending to our field operations, including Gaza, Somalia, Sudan, Sierra Leone and Afghanistan, over the next 12-18 months.
