Summer Intern in in the Pre-Clinical Research department, working on a CRISPR-Cas9 project using Homology Directed Repair (HDR) to insert a riboswitch gene into iPSCs (Stem Cells) to regulate retinal gene expression. In the wider Pre-Clinical Lab context, supported development of retinal organoids with a focus in photoreceptor cells to test targeted gene therapies.
