    After 7 months working closely within the Reception Team I received a promotion to Senior Receptionist giving me the opportunity to manage the team of 4 other receptionists. This promotion allowed me to develop managerial skills and pass on my extensive knowledge to my team. Within this job role it's my duty to create the rota schedules for the reception department ensuring all shifts are covered and extra support is scheduled in on busier days. I work closely with the Administration Team to manage the health, safety and fire safety of my department and recruit new employees when needed. When running the recruitment process, I personally conduct the interview process by selecting candidates from their applications to coordinating the interviews to then selecting the best candidate for the job role. I complete the training process for the new receptionists over a 4-to-6 week period ensuring they are trained with interpersonal skills and are provided with full knowledge of the hotel and local area. Using the detailed Standard Operating Procedures in place I ensure all new employees are equipped to resolve any situation that may occur during the role as well as give full training on booking and banking systems that are used daily. Within this promotion I also work part-time within the Reservations Department as the Assistant to the Reservations Manager. During this role I am one of the main contacts for all hotel reservations and enquiries. It is my responsibility to conduct detailed show-arounds of the hotel bedrooms and facilities making a positive impact to revenue gain. I coordinate all group bookings from initial enquiry through to guests departure, ensuring all runs smoothly throughout. I am solely responsible for all wedding parties staying at the hotel that are getting married at an alternative venue, I use my organisation skills to ensure all aspects of their stay are organised and I communicate well with the operations team to ensure the day runs smoothly.
