As a Kui of 6 Māori mokopuna, I am passionate about the teaching and learning of Māori language in kura and schools - indeed, in Aotearoa generally. In all aspects of my mahi, I aim to support Māori revitalisation efforts, showing due respect for tikanga - and acknowledging Māori propriety rights to the language of their tūpuna.Having been a former teacher in primary, secondary and tertiary settings, I am currently a Ministry of Education preferred provider of PLD in schools (for te reo Māori) and in kura (for structured literacy i.e. Rangaranga Reo ā - Tā).I also write reo Māori pukapuka, published by the Ministry, for use in kura and schools e.g. Reo Tupu series.
