From October 2019 to December 2020, I have been working as an administrative assistant at the Alcide De Gasperi Research Centre based in the Historical archives of the European Union and Department of History and Civilization, in Florence. In particular, I was in charge of administrative and budgetary responsibilities for the Centre’s research projects. This position entails my close and frequent interaction with all the departments and offices of the Institute, such as the Financial and Budgetary Service, the Real Estate and Facility Service, the Academic Services, the Departments and most of all the Archives. I have become greatly confident with all the administrative and financial procedures together with the software and online platforms used by the staff. I regularly organize seminar and conferences for the HAEU and for the ADGRC where I am responsible for the budget, invitations, visit forms, reimbursements, follow up, programmes and other related tasks.

As an external collaborator I was in charge of the educational programme of the Historical Archives of the European Union (Florence). There, I concentrated mostly in designing and giving lectures addressed to primary and secondary, of both grades, schools investigating the issues the European Union is dealing with nowadays. I was also in charge of training newcomers and stagiares. I also had the opportunity to interact with the administration of the European University Institute in order to organize award ceremonies and activities for students. Moreover, I participated actively in many editions of the State of the Union and of the Open Day of the Archives.

Development and implementation of the school project "Sotto una buona stella" in collaboration with the Municipality of Florence: lessons and workshops on the European Union, its institutions, the functioning, its history and its values.

I had the opportunity to work in the administration of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence of the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Florence. Specifically, I was in charge of the organizational and practical aspects for the setting-up of international conferences and other important venues. Moreover, I worked together with the Department’s administration in handling financial and budgetary responsibilities. I was also responsible for the purchase of related resources and services for the Centre. I proved solid organizational and project implementation skills and a strong sense of responsibility for the managed projects. Additionally, I was also appointed supervisor of a trainee.

As a tutor for the Bachelor students of the School of Political Sciences of Florence I was in charge of assisting them with both academic and administrative issues. I supported students in the study of many subjects such as international economy, history of international relations, international law and EU public policies. I actively supported the School’s administration in the organization of many students’ events such as the “Welcome day” for newcomers. Also, I served as assistant in the School’s International Relations Office dealing with Erasmus+ administrative procedures.

During my internship as research assistant at the Observatoire Social Européen (Brussels) I used to mainly provide feedbacks and comments, together with literature reviews, on research papers. I also participated in many events, seminars and conferences providing relative minutes for the team. Moreover, I had the opportunity to contribute to a research report on “NGO’s involvement in the European Semester” with Dr Sebastiano Sabato. In addition, I also assisted European Social Policy Network (ESPN) experts’ meetings and follow-ups (data/graphics), helping also with relative logistic and organizational tasks.

During my internship at the municipal administration of the City of Florence I supported the organization of the F-Light festival 2013, an artistic event taking place during the Christmas festivities and concerning the majority of the City’s main locations of interest. During this experience I had the chance of dealing with different calls for tenders, relations with suppliers, artists, press and other departments of the administration. Therefore, I had also the opportunity to follow up with the press review of the event.
