BBSRC Discovery Fellow (Imperial College London) with a PhD in Biochemistry. Main research interests include adipose biology, development, thermogenesis/substrate utilisation and alteration of cell fate through metabolic adaptation. We work with in vivo, ex vivo and in vitro models of adipose tissue and adipose-derived stem cell biology to better understand human ADSC metabolism and drug target engagement for the treatment of metabolic disease.As a group we collaborate with clinicians, academia and industry to develop novel therapeutic strategies for metabolic diseases. We are committed to improving our understanding of basic biological processes to inform drug discovery and targeting of pathways associated with metabolic stress in vivo.
