This work is seasonal only, running from January through April with a work schedule of two weeks on and one week off.

www.ntv.mnDuring the five week internship I aided in research, production, filming, recording, and editing.One of my most notable achievements of this internship was producing a women's talk show that is currently being aired nationally across Mongolia. My design covered all aspects of talk show logistics; from who they should hire, to the content they should discuss, how long ad breaks should last, how many guests per week they should feature, to how many hours each staff member should work, what competitions they should hold, and even where the cameras should be placed in the studio.The talk show airs once a week (with the goal being five times per week) and is aimed at creating an inclusive community for Mongolian women aged 25 to 65, who may not be able to frequently leave their houses in the winter months, who may have children and are bound to the house, and/or elderly women. During my employment with Gazette I worked as a Production Manager and Staff Writer, whilst also unofficially taking on the roles of an Events Coordinator, Personal Assistant, and Social Media Manager.Production Manager: Organization of day-to-day business happenings including creating and scheduling business meetings, monitoring contributor submissions, creating and enforcing publishing schedules, and was the first point of contact for Gazette. My ability to multi-task ensured the business ran smoothly on a daily basis.Staff Writer: I produced approximately three pieces of writing per week. My pieces consisted of opinion submissions, news and current events stories, and cultural stories. Most notably, I connected with Photographer and TED 2015 speaker, Chris Burkard, to write a piece on his Vancouver presentation.
Events Coordinator: I liaised with venues across Vancouver and curated Gazette’s events calendar. My weekly column was titled “Alice’s Alternative” that guided Vancouverites to an alternative activity to do in the city. I was also one of four staff members who organized the entire launch party for the launch of Gazette Magazine issue #1.Personal Assistant: to the Editor and Founder of Gazette on a daily basis. I responded to requests and delivered results within strict time frames.

Social Media Manager: I aided in contributing to both the Twitter and Instagram accounts of Gazette. I was responsible in organizing and monitoring social media contests, the most successful being a Bif Naked concert ticket giveaway where I collaborated personally with Bif Naked and the owner of the Rickshaw Theatre.

Print Publishing: I was part of a four-person team that published the first ever Gazette Magazine, which became a nationally distributed publication. I also initiated sales distribution in hotels across Vancouver. My biggest achievement was having Gazette Magazine placed in every guest room in Wedgewood Hotel.

I completed a teaching practicum with IH after completing my CELTA qualification. I was also working as a substitute teacher during this time, as a contract worker.

As an accredited full-time Travel Agent; I liaised with various third party companies to create dynamic and unique travel arrangements, worked within a dedicated team that was constantly working towards strict timelines and set goals, attended events and meetings outside business hours to gain more experience and broaden client base, trained novices to become top sellers of travel, as well as personally being one of the top sellers in Perth for which I received performance bonuses of overseas trips on three separate occasions.
