As secretary of SOHAG, I am helping define, develop and advance key policy goals and strategic direction for health and work in Scotland

Contributing to the development of the One Health Stakeholder Mapping and Analysis Resource Toolkit, to establish an online platform and expand the global reach of this well respected tool for management of health emergencies (previously supported by USDA and CDC). Through my studies, I am viewing the healthcare and leadership challenges I have encountered through a new lens and am building the knowledge and tools to be able to take them on meaningfully. I am excited to learn from a diverse group of peers and mentors from a range of backgrounds, who are all passionate about what they do and how they can make a positive impact in their communities. I plan to focus on human rights policy, health and care, and the role of the law.

I am excited to join this fantastic, multi-disciplinary and international team based at the school of nursing in the University of Minnesota working to increase access to higher education in Afghanistan, supporting healthcare careers. This work is funded by USAID, and is part of the Advancing Higher Education for Afghanistan's Development program - working to support the government in Afghanistan. Experience working in acute care, emergency care, anaesthesia and intensive care settings.

Studies are primarily placement based, in a variety of hospital and community settings. The university of Sheffield has a strong record of teaching patient focused care.
