For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed working children and by the time I was 14yrs old I had decided that I wanted a career working in child care. After completing my GCSE examinations in 2004 I decided to apply for a place on a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years course. That was a 2 year course leading to a level 3 qualification which I thoroughly enjoyed.My BTEC qualification was a ‘stepping stone’ to a long term career in child care and since completing the course I have enjoyed working in different child care settings including two private nurseries and a primary school within the foundation stage in foundation one.During my position in the primary school I continued challenging myself doing my HLTA level 4 in 2010 and my foundation degree level 5 and 6 in 2011. I have a full clean driving licence and own my own car.
