Project Management Office (PMO) Lead in Microsoft Consulting Services - Responsibilities include establishing a PMO, developing and implementing standards and processes, owning team communications with stakeholders, process improvement and managing the team work including intake and reporting.Senior Release Program Manager in Windows Embedded and Office - Major responsibilities included the standard software release management functions, i.e. managing all the release gates (security, accessibility, privacy, world readiness, etc.) progress tracking, reporting, team processes, compliance, communications, SharePoint design and maintenance and rhythm of business facilitation. I managed the successful release of a V1 product as well as its first update, and several releases of a mature product installed by millions of users. I mentored several engineering teams as they were transitioning from waterfall to Agile; helped set up the reporting, progress tracking, work item database and rhythm of business.

Windows Server Solutions Division User Assistance: Built and led a team of release managers to deliver UA content for all Windows Server Division, Managed Systems Division and the Connected Systems Division products including Windows Server and Visual Studio. Accomplishments included: Impact projects included the creation and documentation of processes that allowed for greater efficiency across the group. It allowed the release of more content with the same number of people. The documentation was adopted by other UA release teams; I directly managing the release of content for several products; the release cycles included all standard phases of release such as project management, status reporting, managing build and test processes, and managing the localization process in conjunction with the localization team;

Certification and Skills Assessment: I held several different roles in this group including program manager, product planner and content development manager. The most rewarding accomplishment was designing and delivering two new developer certification credentials focused on the .NET development environment (MCSD and MCAD). The credentials were launched in the fall of 2002 and showed steady double-digit growth including influencing sales of associated products from MS Press. Other accomplishments include the management of the entire exam development process for numerous certification exams.

Managed all aspects of a computer training center including hiring staff and contract instructors, managing salespeople, scheduling/developing classes, developing marketing tools, obtaining equipment, and developing and presenting customer sales presentations.
