CurrentFull-time Freelance Technical Writer & Graphic DesignerGRAPHIC DESIGN PROJECTS:Online projects include advanced websites with php/asp, e-commerce, content management systems (CMS). Work extensively with programmers to integrate programming code with the graphics in the site. NO "cookie cutter" sites; custom and creative sites that reflect the customer's marketing objectives. Print projects include designing innovative and creative pieces that the customer understands and accurately reflects their business objectives. TECHNICAL WRITING/EDITING PROJECTS:Training Manuals: • Worked with product development and training teams at Knowledge Center Enterprises, LLC. to create a training guide for an internet-based program. The target audience for the training was emergency management personnel at the local, regional and state levels. Also created the reference guides and online help. This project is ongoing.• Worked with instructors to develop training material for proprietary software product at Walt Disney World in Orlando. The audience for the training was internal. • Updated the design, layout and content of a series of training manuals for Hard Rock Café and NBA City restaurants in Orlando. User/Reference Guides: • Developed a series of software guides for a test and measurement company (now part of Thermo Electron). Continued as a freelance writer on this project for three years, working as part of the development team. Created HTMLHelp, Adobe PDF manuals and supporting graphics for manuals. In charge of print production of the manuals.Online Help Systems: Created online help systems for software products including Knowledge Center, Club Records for AAA, medical scheduling, test & measurement and industrial control systems.
