As TennGreen Land Conservancy’s Executive Director, I am responsible for directing organizational strategy, overseeing day-to-day activities, improving performance, developing organizational culture, supervising heads of departments, managing budgets, and ensuring that the work of TennGreen is held to the highest standards.With increasing responsibility and leadership roles throughout my tenure at the organization, I have overseen significant land acquisition and special project campaigns raising more than $17m, increasing annual operating revenue by 250% (and increasing the average donation by 220%), doubling the number of staff at TennGreen, and rebranding the organization into a highly successful land conservation organization that is welcoming and successful to all. During this time, TennGreen has been granted several honors, including Best Places to Work by the Nashville Business Journal and the Center for Nonprofit Management’s Frist Foundation Revenue Development Award.

In directing the alumni program, my duties included planning alumni events and reunions, coordinating all communications with alumni, managing the online community, co-editing the Alumni Magazine, and serving as the staff liaison to the Alumni Council. Other additional responsibilities included event planning (Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day, Head of School Dinner for major donors, Convocation, etc.), oversight of database and query management, and training new members of our team.
