Work with charities, social enterprises, and commercial organisations from a range of sectors, conducting outcomes-based planning workshops to assess viable social impact bonds, drawing up payment by results and other models for commissioned services, offering strategic advice to assist with business development, and working on transactions such as corporate disposals, and mergers. Examples of recent work contributed to:- Feasibility planning and financial modelling of social investment options including a social impact bond for an organisation targeting employability for those distant from the work force.- Assisting with the development of a social impact bond for a charity in the field of recidivism that works with vulnerable women and women at risk.- Research into the social issues faced by older people in society and analysis of the value to society of a charity operating in the elderly care sector.- Work on sale mandates including buyer research and production of information memorandums for companies operating in the food manufacturing and out of home dining sector, and the luxury property development sector.

Work as a paralegal in the Charity and Social Enterprise team, this involved supporting clients on a range of matters: from setting up charities and Community Interest Companies, to assisting with the legal implications for organisations considering social finance solutions. I also carried out legal research into social impact legal structures on a European level (with a particular emphasis on French social impact legislation) for Jim Clifford to report to the European Commission Expert Group on Social Entrepreneurship (GECES).

Work as a paralegal for a boutique London firm which specialises in child law. Assisted in their child abduction department and gained experience of working with vulnerable children and those with special needs; regularly attended court with clients for abduction hearings, drafted letters to clients, drafted practice direction documents, interviewed international clients to assist preparation of witness statements (being fluent in French and Italian enabled me to successfully liaise with interpol and take evidence from clients in these languages as well as best present their opinion to barristers in court); and issued applications to court.

Seven month placement with a “récoltant manipulant”, a champagne house which controls all stages of the champagne making process from the vine, to the wine-making and marketing:  Involved in six champagne harvests, included co-ordinating harvesters and participating in the wine making process and now contribute to the organisation of the harvest. Translated marketing documents and correspondence both in English and Italian. Created a presentation for the owner to use on a marketing trip to Japan. Subsequently carried out 6 months work.

Six month placement with a wine merchant who imported and distributed wine throughout Italy: Liaised with suppliers, focusing on Champagne Houses, organised public relations exercises including journalists visiting suppliers. 
